The Hiring Process

Introduction:
With our level of expertise in alternative family care, Serenity Care for Seniors Inc. is positioned as the GLOBAL LEADER in "Fostering Seniors" through the development of alternative family care homes in communities where there are seniors.

We offer a dynamic and exciting LIFESTYLE and CAREER opportunity to individuals & families who are interested, committed, and agree to 'foster' one (maximum two) seniors in their home...Because you Care!

You can join our network of Professional Care Associates (Caregivers) and develop an Alternative Family Care Home where you can become Certified to 'Foster' seniors in your home (an opportunity to earn an income whether you stay home or work outside of the family home). Once you have been qualified as a Professional Care Associate you can earn between $1,000.00 and $2,500.00 per month (per senior - when they are placed in your home).

Becoming a Professional Care Associate:
There has been a lot of detail, expertise, resources and care invested in developing our "Fostering Seniors" program which supports individuals & families to become Professional Care Associates.

> You get an opportunity to learn more about us at our corporate website (http://www.serenitycare.ca/)
> As part of our hiring, orientation and in-service training commitment to you, you will receive:

* An overview further explaining our "Fostering Seniors" program
* Answers to any questions you have about "Fostering Seniors"
* All the hiring forms and documents you will require (Phase 1, 2 & 3 & file documents)
* Pre-Service Orientation Information
* A Service Agreement
* A Certification
* Our reporting protocols, forms, etc
* General Procedural Guidelines for Safety (Seniors and Caregivers)
* Quality Assurance Protocols
* In-Service Training (Personal & Professional Development)
* Access to industry partners (i.e., ACN, Arbonne International, Pre-Paid Legal, etc)

The response to this opportunity has been tremendous. We are expanding our "Fostering Seniors" program and continue to hire individuals & families interested in 'fostering' a senior.

A Seven-Step Process:
Each applicant is required to participate in a thorough 7-step screening & hiring process which includes orientation...designed to equip prospective Professional Care Associates with the knowledge to consider this as a LIFESTYLE and CAREER opportunity:

Step 1:
Send an e-mail to info@serenitycare.ca outlining your interest in "Fostering" a senior in your home.

Step 2:
At your request, we will send you an Information/Application package via e-mail (or mail) to your attention. This will also include a "Letter of Interest" Form that we expect you will return to us to confirm your interest.

Please Note: There is a nominal administrative fee to process the Application and all the following important documents. We believe this is a very nominal investment in your future as you: (a) pursue a CAREER opportunity to care for a senior (or two) in your home, (b) earn an income (and still work outside as well), and (c) enhance your LIFESTYLE by giving back to our aging population through this exciting opportunity.

The administration fee is $99.00 (you will receive your own copy of the "How to Foster" Guide). Please attach your cheque to registration form that we will supply you with and mail back to our address. This is a one-time fee. This is a one-time administration fee and non-refundable.

Cheques payable to: Serenity Care for Seniors Inc.

Note: You will be issued with an official receipt for the administrative
fee which is tax- deductible.

Step 3:
We will open a file for you once we have received the "Letter of Interest" Form and the Administrative Fee. We will start your file once we receive your Application. Once we receive your Application, we will contact you to discuss moving forward in the hiring process.

Note: You can send your resume to us before you send your Application, or you can send it along with the Application (via e-mail or mail).

Step 4:
A representative of Serenity Care for Seniors Inc. is assigned to work with you to help you complete the hiring process:

Phase 1: Application, Criminal Reccord Check(s), Medical, References, etc.

Phase: Family Profile Assessment.

Phase: Hamily Home Assessment.

Introduction, Interview and Followup Meetings are scheduled as required.

Step 5:
Once the Phase 1, 2 & 3 documents have been completed all other hiring related documentation is reviewed and signed off. Once the file documentation is complete, orientation is discussed and scheduled.

Step 6:
Once the orientation is completed, the prospective Professional Care Associate (and all the necessary file documentation is complete as per Step 5) can then receive a copy of the Service Agreement. Once the Service Agreement is signed & dated by all parties, a Certificate is awarded to the individual(s) and they are invited as Professional Care Associate(s) into our Network.

Step 7:
A start-up date is established so that Serenity Care for Seniors Inc. and the Professional Care Associate can start to consider referral options.

Note: It is imperative that all of the hiring documentation is complete and up-to-date as the Applicant moves through each of the Phases. The length of the hiring process is dependent upon the individuals level of interest, time commitment, scheduling, etc.
